The Story

Greeting card with artwork featuring the design Tawny frogmouths at Shine Dome, Canberra by Stuart McMillen.

A group of tawny frogmouths roost together on a tree branch, in this illustration. The sunset scene is drawn near the Shine Dome building in Canberra, with the Telstra Tower also visible in the background. The sky glows an orange and purple gradient in the sky above the gum trees of Black Mountain. The cartoon drawing shows the camouflage patterns of each frogmouth, as they blend into the bark of the tree.

The cards are large, colourful and printed on thick 400 gsm glossy card stock. Each card measures 11.7 x 18.2 cm (4.6 x 6.1 inches), features a blank interior, and includes an envelope.

Stuart McMillen is a studio resident of Gorman Arts Centre in Canberra.
