The elliptical shape allows the bangle to be worn small, following the shape of your wrist so it can sit snugly.  Made from hard drawn wire it can be pushed safely over the wrist without bending the form. 

Each piece is handmade in Amy Tamblyn's Sydney studio and comes in a bespoke jewellery box. As they are handmade there may be slight variations from the picture.
